Logitech Makes Universal Remotes Universally Accessible

Have you ever tried programming a universal remote? The process is more often than not arduous and incredibly taxing for simple minded folk such as I. That and the prohibitive starting cost of getting one of these remotes really tilts the scales in favor of keeping a bazillion separate remotes instead of just a universal one.

Logitech has added the Harmony 300 Remote to the award-winning Harmony Remote series, making it the simplest Universal remote to program ever. The Web-based setup makes it a breeze, letting you connect it straight to your computer and from there, the world is your oyster. Adding a fancy new DVR or Hi-Fi system? The Harmony 300 is powered by an online device library that updates pretty much everyday.

“Most universal remotes have a bad reputation for being hard to program and, as a result, you still use more than one remote to control the devices you own,” said Ashish Arora, vice president and general manager of Logitech’s digital home group. “With the Harmony 300, we wanted to deliver the Harmony remote promise of one remote to control your entertainment system to everyone. No more excuses — it’s time to get rid of the stack of remotes on your coffee table and simplify your home entertainment experience.”

The Logitech Harmony 300 is available now at a retail price of RM149. For more details check out the website at http://www.logitech.com/harmony
